Next up in our ‘Meet the Team’ series, we speak to Isabel Sturgess, our new marketing manager!
This series aim is to let you know all about those people that make our company what it is today and to start putting some faces to names.
Here are Isabel’s answers below.
- How long have you worked at Urban Creation?
I have worked for Urban Creation since beginning of September this year! It hasn’t been long but I have settled in so quickly and am really enjoying it. It feels like I have been there a lifetime (in a good way).
- What is it you do?
I am the Marketing Manager; so essentially I let the outside world know what it is exactly we do.
I look after all marketing collateral, website management, social media, branding, e-marketing, booking events and any other random things that fall onto my desk.
- What is that you love about working at Urban Creation?
Urban Creation is constantly developing. We never stand still and there is always a new project in hand which is really exciting. I like change and Urban Creation certainly brings that as we are always looking for new innovative projects to take on. There certainly isn’t a dull day here.
The team are also great. I really enjoy working with the people here and they have made me feel so welcome.
- What do you like to do outside of work?
I have a one year old so most of my time is taking up running around after him!
I also do lots of dog walks with friends and our golden retriever. And when I do have some free time I am also part of a running club, which has been great to get back into.
- What is your favourite food?
My family is Italian (not that you can tell), so I would have to say pasta and pizza!
Food has been a big part of my life with a lot of my social events growing up focused around food. Most of my childhood memories are of big family get togethers with masses of amazing food. I used to go to Italy around 6 times a year as a child it was just delightful!
- Your favourite movie of all time?
It would have to be Bridget Jones’ Diary! I have great memories curled up on the sofa with my best friends at University watching that on repeat.
- If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I would love to go to China, I have always wanted to explore their culture, way of life and to experience something completely different to my own.
