Urban Creation buys Clifton apartments in £1.4 million deal

May 17, 2016

Fifteen apartments in a 1960s building in Clifton have been bought by Urban Creation in a deal worth £1. 4million.

The Bristol-based developer bought the apartments at Alison Court on Apsley Road from an unnamed seller to let in the private rental market, with plans for its refurbishment being drawn up in the next few months.

This project signifies Urban Creation’s move to grow its portfolio of properties aimed at professionals. The company also owns Beech House on St Paul’s Road in Clifton, which is also being refurbished to provide rental homes for professionals.

Jonathan Brecknell, who is director at Urban Creation and has many years of experience in refurbishing and converting Bristol buildings, said: “Living near Apsley Road, I go past this building most days and have always thought it has huge potential for improvement. This is a brilliantly located property, close to the shops, restaurants and cafes of Whiteladies Road and the open spaces of the Downs, so it seemed like an obvious choice for us.”

The apartments purchased by Urban Creation at Alison Court include three one-bed apartments and 12 studios. Urban Creation purchased 15 of a total of 16 apartments within the building.
